This weekend, I finally took the time to tackle a project I’ve been wanting to do since LAST SPRING!
I don’t know why it took me so long to finally do it – I literally purchased the supplies last fall, and they’ve just been sitting in our pantry closet. *facepalm*
But this weekend, I decided to tackle (along with doing a major declutter of my pantry and purge unused items and give them to friends or a local shelter)… and it already feels/looks SO much better!
Also, if you wanna see a cute video walk through… check out this video I posted of the process on my Instagram.
Here’s the BEFORE of my spice cabinet… It was just a mess and there were doubles of things, things I was missing, and overall just nothing organized.
Plus, I’ve been recently convicted of just reducing my plastic use/purchasing where I can, and instead buying my spices in bulk. So I was really excited to streamline our jars for a consistent look (bc #aesthetics) but also have something sustainable that will keep our spices!
So here’s what I used:
And that’s it! Everything I needed was in those two things, and I’m super grateful I decided to go for it!
And for the labels, I purchased the “Standard Labels” and the 2.25×1.25 for these jars/and the look I was hoping for.
It was super simple to do – pretty time consuming (because I rinse and hand dried the little funnel for the spices for each jar) but again… just took maybe 2 hours (and that’s entertaining a toddler with lots of interruptions). But I’d say an afternoon well spent!
Do you have any rhyme or reason to your pantry?
