Nashville is one of my favorite cities. Every time I visit, I just love it even more! I continue to find gem places I want to continue to visit, and always get recommended more places for the next visit.
I thought I’d share an easy-to-reference list of some of my fave places to visit, so the next time you’re heading to Nashville, you can maybe use this list to help build out your trip!
If you’re limited on time, I put *** on the places I’d vote as “must stop” places.
Coffee Shops
It’s no secret that Nashville is a town with good coffee. HECK, EVEN THEIR GAS STATIONS HAVE A COFFEE SHOP THAT SERVES A DECENT CUP OF JOE (They’re called White Bison and I got an almond milk cortado and it was goooood).
So really, you can’t go wrong with any of the coffee shops.
Nevertheless, here’s my personal recommendations:
- Frothy Monkey (this is probably the most touristy coffee shop – it’s the one most people know. If you go, the location at the Nations is my fave, downtown is second fave).
- Crema (their cuban is my fave) ***
- Barista Parlor (great coffee and light food) ***
- Steadfast (perf place to try coffee soda)
- 8th and Roast (their vanilla latte is game changing) ***
- Headquarters (the best lavender latte)
- Three Brothers (they have a really famous mural hallway you’ve likely seen photos of before. They also have a great lavender latte)
- Dose (probs my second fave lavender latte. Also a great cortado)
Places To Eat
I feel like you probably can’t go wrong with anywhere local you eat in Nashville… But here’s a few of my faves that
- Pinewood Social (delish food and fun atmosphere; plus there’s a bowling alley)
- Crema (simple cafe food but oh so good)
- Fido (fab variety in hillsboro)
- Sam and Zoe’s (delish sandwich shop. Get the juice. Trust me.)
- Burger Up (amazing burgers and apps)
- Mas Tacos (hole in the wall, but best tacos of your life) ***
- Caviar and Bananas (good place with lots of variety)
- The Cookery (incredible food and a non-profit place that teaches homeless people how to be chefs, then connects them with restaurants in the Nashville area) ***
- Nicoletto’s (handmade pasta and sauce and heaven) ***
- Jeni’s (amazing ice cream. even for the non-ice cream folk. just try it.)
- Succulent Vegan Tacos (yes that’s the name and they serve what it sounds like (vegan tacos) but they were delishhhh)
Other places I’ve been suggested, but I haven’t personally tried yet:
- Rose Pepper
- Bar Taco
- Martin’s
- Edly’s
- Diano’s
- The Southern
- Proper Bagel
- The Post
- Biscuit Love
- Local Taco
- Nashville Farmer’s Market, Market House (variety of places to eat inside)
Shopping
There’s a LOT of artists in Nashville (is anyone surprised?) which means there’s a lot of really cute shops there, too!
- Gift Horse ***
- Pangea
- Apple + Oak
- Alter’d State
- The Shine Project
- Project 651 ***
- Hat Wrks
- Scout + Molly’s
- Imogene & Willie
- White’s Mercantile
- Draper James
- Abednego ***
- Amelia’s Flower Truck (fresh flowers in a truck? Yes please) ***
- FashionABLE
- Hatchshow Print
Things To Do
There’s SO many things to do in Nashville, so I’m just going to recommend the things I’ve done and would highly recommend.
- Gaylord Hotel (if you park at the mall it’s free and to get in it’s free. It’s basically a hotel with multiple greenhouses inside and it’s incredible. Even if you’re not into plants). ***
- Shelby Bottom Park (basically a huge greenway with bikes you can rent and just beautiful scenery, right in Nashville)
- Cheekwood Botanical Gardens (beautiful place, though I 10/10 recommend trying to go in the fall to see their pumpkin house).
- Downtown Farmer’s Market (a great place to try a ton of different amazing restaurants, support local people, buy the best pumpkins if you’re there in the fall, and there’s a great nursery!). ***
- Shops on 12th South (I listed a lot of them, but there’s all in a row. So it’s a great place to stop – there’s also a frothy monkey there and a great pumpkin patch in the fall).
- Hewitt Garden and Design Center (this is outside Nashville in Franklin, but it’s a huge and incredible nursery. Just look it up. You’ll wanna go).
- Centennial Park (I haven’t been here but there’s a replica of the pantheon… so if that sounds cool to you, it’s worth checking out).
- Montgomery Bell State Park (a little outside of Nashville, but a great place if you’re looking for family friendly camping and light hiking).
I think those are all the main places I’ve been to and love! I’ll continue to try to add to this list anytime I’m there so like I said, it can just be a great place to reference when you travel.
I’d love to know: have you been to Nashville? Anything on this list that I need to add to MY bucket list next time I stop by? Feel free to share in a comment below what YOUR faves are!
