Today’s DIY is a easy and uses things you probably have in your house (or can easily get from the grocery store).
If you google “naturally dyed easter eggs” it’s amazing to see the color combinations people are able to create! Some people even layer the colors to get even more unique colors… This is just one of those DIY’s that you’ll have to play around with and just have fun with it!
QUICK COLOR CHEAT SHEET:
Turmeric = golden yellow
Red Cabbage = blue
Beets = Purple
Yellow Onion = Deep Orange
Avocado Pits = Pink
Coffee = Brown
A few pro tips:
- Add 1 tbs of vinegar to your dye to help set the colors
- Depending on how concentrated your dye is, the eggs might need to sit anywhere from 3-24 hours
- Use white eggs for a more vibrant color, or brown for something softer
- Layer the colors to get even more unique colors!
