The weather is starting to warm up, spring is in full bloom and summer is just around the corner! This week so happens to be Coachella, a well-known music festival, and so I thought I’d take a little inspiration from this fashionista festival and create a fun eucalyptus crown tutorial!
So whether you want to rock this look at a music festival, wedding or just for fun, I thought I’d put together a little tutorial for a really simple (and affordable) DIY Eucalyptus Crown!
Supplies Needed:
Fresh Eucalyptus (could be done with fake). I bought mine at Trader Joes for $3.
Floral Tape (purchase from Hobby Lobby or Amazon)
Scissors (optional)
That’s it!
Instructions:
Step One: Take fresh eucalyptus and create a small overlap between the stems.
Step Two: Twist the stems together (like a two-stranded braid).
Step Three: Use floral tape to affix the two stems. This will hold your crown together and make it durable to take on and off!
Step Four: Rinse + Repeat. Continue steps two and three.
Step Five: Continue until you have the desired fit size of your crown!
Step Six: Twist the two ends together to complete crown!
Step Seven: Use floral tape to reinforce crown loop.
Step Eight: Twist remaining stem ends around the crown to have a full and complete loop.
Step Nine: Add more stems to thicken the crown (if you want).
Pro tip: Stick the end of a stem into an already woven part to reinforce the stems and have a crown that won’t easily fall apart!
Step ten: Keep twisting stems together until crown is desired fullness. Fix with floral tape, if necessary.
Final step: Wear out and enjoy!!
Et viola! You have a beautiful flower crown perfect to wear at your next spring occasion!
