Hello friends!
I just shared this video, where I walk you through how I design and set up a basket wall in my home!
This is one of my FAVORITE ways to decorate in my house, as it gives me the “boho aesthetic” that I love, as well as it’s a very practical and affordable way for me to decorate.
In the video I walk through both my process, as well as my top tips for finding the best baskets!
Please watch the video to see how I decorate:
And while I do share tips in the video, I thought that part would be easy enough to write out as well!
Option One: Thrift The Baskets
This is the most affordable option, but it’s also the most time consuming and not at all guaranteed.
While I LOVE the treasure hunt associated with thrifting – it’s definitely that, A HUNT! You never know what you’re going to find in a thrift (if anything) and so it might take a couple separate trips or hitting up a few different stores to collect everything that you need.
BUT, this is definitely THE most affordable way to get baskets (especially a bunch of baskets that you’d typically want/need for a wall).
So it’s up to you! If you have the time and don’t mind digging, this is a really fun way to curate the perfect baskets for your home.
PLUS, I really love how vintage items seem to tell a story, and you can really find one-of-a-kind items that you wouldn’t be able to find anywhere else.
Option Two: Online Thrift Shops
So I recently launched my own online thrift shop called Ro’s Boho Thrift Co, because I get asked ALL. THE. TIME. about where to find baskets – by people who don’t necessarily want to go searching for their own.
There’s also a TONNNN of other thrift shops like this on Instagram (just google “thrift” in the search) and they curate tons of amazing items!
You can also look at Facebook Market, Craigs List, Ebay, or even Goodwill Online. The options are endless!
So this option is going to be more expensive then in-person thrifting, as someone else has essentially done the thrifting for you. But it has more of a “guarantee” in that you’re likely to find everything you need, in an hour or two, and without leaving your home (if that’s an appeal).
So it’s a great option to consider!
Option Three: Department Stores
Places like Target and World Market have tons of beautiful baskets, but you’re definitely going to pay more per basket. But if you’re looking for something very specific and need it asap, this could be a great option for you!
Just to make things easier on you, here’s some great options I found:
