Today I’m really excited to walk you through five DIY’s that are great for Valentine’s! These are super easy to customize so you can “spice things up” for time with your spouse or make it floral for a gal pal!
Each of these DIY’s I use a lot of the same ingredients, but I think it’ll be easiest to just share what I use under each of the DIY’s.
Happy making!
Also, if you’d rather just watch the DIY for each of these:
XO PERFUME ROLLER
For this DIY, you’ll need the following:
- Clear glass roller (here’s the one I used)
- Carrier oil of choice (I used FCO and MCT)
- Essential Oils from Young Living (link)
- Rose Petals (optional – link)
What you need to do:
- Add in rose petals (if adding)
- Add in essential oil drops. I did 6 purification, 4 bergamot and 2 orange.
- Fill the roller with carrier oil of choice.
- Add a label, if desired, shake and enjoy!
Roll wherever you would normally put your perfume.
“IN THE MOOD” PILLOW SPRAY
This “in the mood” pillow spray is great to spray on your pillows and sheets before… well, ya know. Doing married things.
Some great oils to add are ylang ylang, bergamont, sandalwood, clary sage or nutmeg. If you’re looking for something specific, a great resource is your friend Google OR the book, “Lucy Libido” (link).
For this DIY, you’ll need the following:
- Spray bottle (link)
- Essential Oils from Young Living (link)
- Witch Hazel (link)
- Distilled or Filtered Water (we love our Berkey)
- Label Maker (link)
What you need to do:
- Add in your essential oils. I did 10 drops of lavender and 10 drops of Release (has Ylang Ylang in it – I don’t have that oil yet [though I thought I did] otherwise I’d add that).
- Add in ~1 tbs of witch hazel. The amount doesn’t really matter, this just helps mix the oils in with the rest of the spray!
- Fill the rest of the spray bottle with water!
You’ll just shake before each use and spray as desired!
KISSABLE LIP SCRUB
For this DIY, you’ll need the following:
- Small bowl and spoon, for mixing
- Small container (link)
- Sugar of choice (link)
- Essential Oil(s) from YL (link)
- Local Honey (if possible)
- Fractionated Coconut Oil, or FCO (link)
- Label Maker (link)
What you need to do:
- Add a few scoops of sugar into a bowl.
- Add in your essential oils. I added 5 drops of Peppermint EO.
- Add in some honey and FCO, creating a spreadable consistency.
- Mix well, then add into your jar.
To use, simply take a pea sized scoop of the mix and apply to the lips. “scrub” gentle then rinse of with water.
“IN THE MOMENT” MASSAGE OIL
This massage oil can also just be called “regular massage oil” but since this post is about valentines, I thought I’d spice it up! You can easily add whatever essential oils suit your fancy – or none at all!
For this DIY, you’ll need the following:
- Clear glass dropper (link)
- Rose petals, optional (link)
- Oil of choice (link)
- Essential Oils from Young Living (link)
What you need to do:
- Add in rose petals, if adding (optional step)
- Add in essential oils. For this massage oil I did 5 of lavender, 5 of frankincense and 5 of bergamot.
- Fill the rest of the container with oil of choice.
Shake before use. Apply wherever needed/as needed for massage.
COZY BODY SCRUB
For this DIY, you’ll need the following:
- Small Mason Jars (link)
- Brown Sugar (link)
- Essential Oils from Young Living (link)
- Fractionated Coconut Oil, FCO (link)
- Organic Cold Pressed Vanilla (link)
- Label Maker (link)
What you need to do:
- Add sugar to your jar. Fill about 3/4 of the way.
- Add in essential oils, if adding. I added 3 drops of cinnamon, 2 drops of nutmeg, and 2 tsp of vanilla.
- Add in FCO (or whatever oil you prefer) until you have a smooth consistency.

Grab a small amount and use as you would any body/sugar scrub.
